Johnny Knoxville has blogged about his recent arrest after a fake grenade was found in his luggage at Los Angeles airport.

The Jackass star, who has since been released, was said to have been found carrying a "prohibited item" by security guards. He explained in his blog that he had been filming an MTV show called Nitro Circus and had props with him for the shoot.

He claimed that the wardrobe girl had packed his luggage and that he unknowingly attempted to travel with the fake grenade.

"Ah f*** was I bummed when I realised what had happened," he wrote. "The cops did their job and verified that it wasn't real. Also, they were cool as they could be to me, considering the situation, and it is no-ones fault but my own.

"I should have checked my goddamn luggage through and through, but I didn't and now we have this incident."

Knoxville added that he was allowed to board his flight to Miami just over an hour after being detained.
