De Rossi tells of marriage "peace"

Portia De Rossi has spoken of the peace and togetherness that she has found in being married to Ellen DeGeneres.

The couple wed in front of their family and friends at a ceremony in their Los Angeles home last year.

De Rossi told Entertainment Tonight that her life has changed considerably since they tied to knot, adding that it was a "lovely" feeling.

"It is a very different way of being together," she said. "There is a peace to it and a sense of togetherness we didn't have before. I didn't realise it would change as much as it has, but it is so lovely."

The couple started dating in 2004 and decided to marry after California's Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples had the right to marry.
