Corden: 'There was no sexy time with Lily'

Comedian James Corden has said that his relationship with Lily Allen was not sexual.

The Gavin & Stacey star, who was first linked to Allen in 2008 after appearing on her BBC Three chatshow, played down rumours about their romance.

"I know I'm a flirt," he told The Sun. "I went on Lily Allen's chatshow and flirted outrageously with her.

"We went out a few times but nothing ever happened, there were no sexy times. It was nothing more than a friendship, it really wasn't. But I can understand why it became a big deal because it was such a public display of affection."

Speaking about his female fans, Corden commented: "Women I meet tend to make it quite clear what could happen if I wanted it to. I think it would be wrong, in the pages of a family newspaper, to say exactly how. But, you know, women say things and there is no misunderstandings."

The actor's new comedy series Horne And Corden airs in March, while his big screen project Lesbian Vampire Killers is expected in the same month.

On the prospect of moving to America, he said: "It's not where you work, it's the work that you do. I only want to work in LA if I can do better work there than I could here. I have no interest in going and doing American Pie 12."
