Beckham 'most wanted celeb confidante'

David Beckham has been named the celebrity that people would most want to turn to if they had a problem.

More than 13,000 people were surveyed in the poll, conducted as part of Macmillan Cancer Support's Cancertalk Week.

Cheryl Cole was the second most popular celebrity confidante, followed by Fern Britton, Paul O'Grady, Gok Wan and Coleen Rooney.

Macmillan cancer nurse specialist Debbie Gardener said: "We can't promise you David Beckham, but being able to talk about how cancer is affecting your life can really help how you feel."
