McGiffin not fussed by 22-year age gap

Carol McGiffin has said that she is not bothered by the 22-year age gap between her and new lover Mark Cassidy.

The 48-year-old Loose Women star, who is engaged to the TV producer, said that he is particularly mature for his age.

"It doesn't worry [Mark], so I'm trying not to care either," she told the Sunday Mirror. "Yes, it is a big difference, but he is a very mature, grown-up 26 - more than I was at that age - he has a good job and owns his flat.

"I am a very immature, young 48 so I reckon we meet somewhere in the middle."

McGiffin met Cassidy at a Loose Women end-of-series party last August. They got engaged on Christmas Eve during a holiday in Phuket, Thailand.

She was previously married to DJ and TV presenter Chris Evans between 1991 and 1998.

Last year, McGiffin admitted that she had gone without sex for seven years, confessing that she was "absolutely gagging for it". She was also ranked 38th in FHM's 100 sexiest MILFs poll in 2008.
