Humphries confirms Everage, Patterson tour

Barry Humphries has confirmed the details a UK tour with his comic characters Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson.

The 'Last Night Of The Poms' jaunt is the first time the characters have been on tour in 28 years and will include a musical extravaganza conducted by Carl Davis CBE. Tickets go on sale on January 23 at 10am.

"This momentous piece was first performed immediately after the Proms in 1981," said promoter Harvey Goldsmith. "It was during recent conversations with Barry Humphries that the suggestion came to revive this fantastic show.

"I am delighted that Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson agreed to perform in their first tour of the UK."

Carl Davis commented: "This unique collaboration between myself and Barry Humphries was written as a parody on the Proms. Barry and I have waited 28 years to do this concert again. Dame Edna and Sir Les never disappoint."

Humphries's comedy TV credits include The Dame Edna Experience and The Dame Edna Treatment.
