Patrick Swayze to pen his memoirs

Patrick Swayze has revealed that he is planning to write a memoir.

Speaking to Us Weekly, the actor's representative Annett Wolf confirmed that the actor would write the book in collaboration with his wife Lisa.

She refused to reveal any further details, except to deny reports that the project would be an inspirational-type tome.

The Dirty Dancing star was recently released from hospital following a pneumonia scare, thought to have been caused by the chemotherapy treatment he is receiving for pancreatic cancer.

Earlier this month, he admitted that he was "going through hell", but added: "Am I dying? Am I giving up? Am I on my death bed? Am I saying goodbye to people? No way."
