Flowers buys desert strip for neon sign

Brandon Flowers has reportedly bought a piece of desert on which he plans to erect his own neon sign.

The Killers frontman spent thousands of dollars on the vacant strip of land in Las Vegas, according to Bang Media.

The 27-year-old apparently plans to "one day" build a property on the site.

Flowers revealed that the group's next LP will be a covers album, including tracks by Tom Waits, Genesis and Rod Stewart.
