Cole 'holding talks' over US career

Cheryl Cole is reportedly holding talks with US television executives over how to launch her career Stateside.

The Girls Aloud star spent hours discussing her future with 'bigwigs' at a Knightsbridge restaurant, according to the Evening Standard.

"They were there for a good three hours, and it sounded as if they were talking big bucks to try and entice her over," said a source.

The singer reportedly left the restaurant in high spirits and asked a group of people for a cigarette.

"One guy told her she shouldn't smoke as she's too gorgeous, and she started blushing," said the source. "When she realised a smoke was not forthcoming, she said, 'I better grit my teeth and read my magazines in the car then'."

Girls Aloud are currently enjoying a two-month break before starting rehearsals for their upcoming tour.
