Tara PT: UK rehab system "sucks"

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has hit out at the methods used for drug rehabilitation in the UK.

The 37-year-old managed to kick her cocaine habit after a stint at the Meadows clinic in Arizona and has been clean since 2002.

Bang Media quotes her as saying: "I don't want to slag off the English rehab system, but I think they suck. In America they look into your inner child, they go all the way back with hypnotism - it's a very hardcore process."

The socialite recently appealed to the public to stop doubting her sobriety, explaining: "It's so annoying when people assume I'm still off my head on drink and drugs just because I'm exuberant and eccentric.

"I enjoy a glass of wine, but I just don't like alcohol enough to overdo it."
