McCartney dismisses wedding rumours

Paul McCartney has dismissed speculation that he is planning to marry his girlfriend Nancy Shevell.

Earlier reports had suggested that the former Beatle was preparing to wed Shevell after her divorce from lawyer Bruce Blakeman was finalised.

However, the singer's publicist has denied the rumour, stating: "[There's] no truth to it."

McCartney met Shevell almost three decades ago when the pair used to holiday with their families in the Hamptons.
