Blue Man Group 'ready to rock'

The Blue Man Group have announced that they plan to cross over into rock 'n' roll with their 'How To Be A Megastar' tour.

The troupe, made up of three silent men disguised by thick blue makeup, will take their new show to the O2 arena next month, The Telegraph reports.

Phil Stanton, a founder of the group and original blue man, said: "We thought it would be an interesting experiment to see if you could have an egoless silent character on a rock 'n' roll stage."

He added that the characters' "innocent" approach to music would make the performance interesting to watch.

It was reported last year that the Blue Man Group stage show is to become an IMAX 3-D feature film.
