Robyn Hitchcock has revealed that he is planning to write a musical based on Clint Eastwood's Magnum Force.

The singer-songwriter, 55, said that he wants to produce the Broadway show with MTV boss Bill Flanagan.

"It's a film that seemed to be on all the time when I was on tour," he told Teletext. "By the fifth time, I became addicted to it. It's taken a very strange hold on my life."

Magnum Force was released in 1973 and followed the story of Eastwood's character Police Inspector 'Dirty' Harry Callahan.
