Ritchie's dad 'fears Madonna reunion'

Guy Ritchie's father has claimed that the "worst thing" about his son's divorce with Madonna would be if they got back together, say reports.

John Ritchie has reportedly revealed that he was happy that the couple decided to divorce after nearly eight years of marriage.

"The worst thing would be if they reconciled," Perez Hilton quotes him as telling In Touch. He added that he was pleased to see the singer spending time with "lots of boyfriends" because "she won't be looking for him".

However, he insisted that the split remains amicable and that the pair still speak for the sake of their children, eight-year-old Rocco and David Banda, three. Ritchie also helped raise 12-year-old Lourdes, Madonna's daughter from a previous relationship.

"There are no big arguments between them. All they discuss is the children," he said.

Last year, John reportedly branded Madonna "horrid" and "beastly" after she insulted his son during a gig.
