On Saturday, January 24, 2009, we incorrectly suggested that performances of David Gest’s musical concert extravaganza "David Gest…My Life!" at the Indig02 (at London’s 02 Arena) had been cancelled due to poor ticket sales and that in relation to the performance on January 12, 2009, Mr Gest had purchased 196 tickets for himself.
We accept that our story was entirely wrong. Mr Gest did not cancel any shows as a result of poor ticket sales and we note that Mr Gest’s shows in both London and Liverpool were, in fact, a phenomenal success. We also note that Mr Gest’s tour will be continuing later in the year with a further 14 dates already planned.
We apologise to Mr Gest for any distress our earlier article may have caused.
