Rourke bows out of Wrestlemania

Mickey Rourke has announced that he will not be participating in Wrestlemania 25.

Speaking to Access Hollywood last week, The Wrestler star revealed that he had been invited to compete at the forthcoming pay-per-view.

However, a representative for the actor said that he will not be attending the April 5 event because of work commitments.

"Mickey was very honoured to be asked as he has the greatest respect for WWE however he will not be participating in Wrestlemania," he said.

"He is focusing entirely on his acting career."

Yesterday, it was confirmed that rockers AC/DC will be performing the WWE theme song at the event in Houston, Texas.
