Titchmarsh victim of Wikipedia hoax

Alan Titchmarsh has fallen victim to a Wikipedia hoax which claims that he has written a new version of the Kama Sutra.

The green-fingered presenter told The Telegraph that he wished he knew how to access the online encyclopaedia to edit the erroneous entry.

He said: "I know about the Wikipedia entry. It's full of wrong facts. I do not have a new version of the Kama Sutra being published. I wish I knew how to change Wikipedia to make it correct."

Pranksters have also falsely stated that the TV gardener is trustee of a charity called Gardens for Squats. An entry on the site which claims that his Madame Tussauds waxwork is "one of the most fondled" is true.

"Yes, I'm the most groped waxwork! Isn't it hilarious?" Titchmarsh said. "My daughters tell me it's because my model is next to Brad Pitt's, so visitors get us confused."
