Natascha McElhone has been named as the new face of cosmetic firm Neutrogena.

The Solaris actress will make her debut as the company's brand ambassador for its facial moisturisers and treatments from next month, reports People.

McElhone's husband Martin Kelly died last May, aged 42, leaving her widowed with three children.

"Right now with a newborn and with my two other sons adjusting and adapting to this new life, I have to be honest, there really isn't much time for myself," she said.

"I don't have a particular [beauty routine] because I don't really have time for one. Which is why products like Neutrogena are essential."

Other Neutrogena spokeswomen include Diane Lane, Jennifer Garner, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere and Susie Castillo.
