Piers Morgan has reportedly claimed that Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton and Alan Carr "wouldn't know a good journalistic question if it bit them on their backsides".

Morgan said that Norton is "too camp, bitchy and 'showbizzy' for my taste", adding that he has the world's most irritating voice apart from Alan Carr.

The journalist, who is working on a biographical chatshow called Piers Morgan's Life Stories, was interviewing himself for the March edition of GQ magazine.

Declaring his admiration for Sir Michael Parkinson, Morgan went on to say that Ross should have been sacked over the Manuelgate row.

"I am a journalist who tries to conduct entertaining interviews," he said. "They - and I include Ross in this - are entertainers, who wouldn't know a good journalistic question if it bit them on their backsides. But we both have our place in the market."
