Messenger, Madonna 'bond over Kabbalah'

Melinda Messenger and Madonna have reportedly formed a friendship as a result of their shared interest in Kabbalah.

Messenger's husband Wayne Roberts claimed that the glamour model and pop queen became close when he and Messenger turned to the Jewish mystical tradition to help solve problems in their marriage.

He told Now magazine: "During hard times in a relationship, you look to all sorts of places for guidance and advice. Kabbalah really helped.

"When we met Madonna, she was a very pleasant, normal, down-to-earth lady. She and Guy Ritchie went through the same sort of thing as us but, sadly, they didn't make it through together."

A friend told the publication that Roberts and Messenger believed in the Kabbalah advice and also benefitted from counselling which helped Roberts deal with not being the main breadwinner.

Messenger, who is currently competing on Dancing on Ice, was recently named as an ambassador for children's charity Barnardos.
