Katy Perry wins 'People' retraction

The magazine printed a corrected version of the story which confirmed that the 'Hot N Cold' singer was not referring to McCoy but instead joking about Death Cab For Cutie singer Ben Gibbard.
Speaking at a gig, Perry had said: "Girls if you feel me, if you've ever dated the lead singer from Death Cab For Cutie ... this one goes out to him.
"To all of my upcoming relationships - one foot in, one foot out. He wants the milk but he never wants to buy the cow."
Following the change to the story on the People website, Katy Perry wrote on her blog that she would never be so "tacky" as to mention McCoy or his band as they are still friends.
"I don't care if you make fun of me, my music, my zits, my cellulite or my bad choice of clothing… I really don't. Just have some soul, and don't LIE," the singer wrote.
"I am not asking to be exempt from the media, I am just asking for some f***ing fact checking."
