De Rossi prepared to quit acting for Ellen

Portia de Rossi has confessed that she would rather spend time with wife Ellen DeGeneres than take on acting roles.

De Rossi wed talkshow host DeGeneres last August following the California Supreme Court's ruling that same-sex couples have the right to marry.

Speaking in the latest issue of Ladies' Home Journal, de Rossi said: "I don't need to be on camera. I'm not a workaholic. I love to spend time with my wife, my family, my animals.

"We're looking for the right place to have a farm. Someplace like Massachusetts or Nantucket, with seasons. We could get an 1800s farmhouse with land and rescue animals. Then I'm done."

De Rossi is know for her roles in Ally McBeal and Arrested Development. She recently guest-starred in Nip/Tuck and Better Off Ted.
