Usher 'abandons' wife for Vegas studio

Usher has been accused of 'abandoning' his wife and two young children after relocating to Las Vegas.

The singer has temporarily moved to Nevada in order to work on his new album but left wife Tameka Foster to look after their sons in Atlanta.

"Tameka is really upset she was asked not to come to Las Vegas with Usher when he left to work on his next album," a source told the New York Post.

"She tried to have so much influence over his last project that this time, the people involved with the record said she had to stay away."

Record executives are reportedly pleased with the progress the star is making on his sixth studio album.

"Tameka keeping her distance seems to be helping Usher," the source added.

The singer and Foster have two sons, one-year-old Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely, who was born last December.
