Dixon "not ready" for relationship

Alesha Dixon has revealed that she is "not ready" for another relationship.

The singer admitted that she has only recently found solace in being single and does not want a boyfriend for the time being.

"I'm not dating. I'm still single and loving it. It's taken me a little while to say being single is a good thing, but now it's great," she told The Sun.

"I am open-minded and if I met someone I'd be willing to go on a date. But right now I don't think it's meant to be and I'm not ready."

Dixon broke up with former husband MC Harvey in 2006 after he was caught having an affair with Popstars: The Rivals reject Javine Hylton.

"After a six-year relationship I'm finally baggage-free. I can be spontaneous and hang out with musicians on the same creative plane as me. It's selfish in a way but it's my one opportunity to achieve all my ambitions," she added.

The star's new single 'Breathe Slow' looks set to crack the Top 5 this Sunday on downloads alone.
