Myleene: 'It's my job to be everywhere'

Myleene Klass has dismissed complaints that she is becoming overexposed.

The former pop singer has recorded a classical music album, signed up to host a radio show and fronted TV programmes and advertising campaigns following her I'm A Celebrity... jungle stint in 2006.

Responding to claims that she is taking on too much work, Klass insisted: "It looks like I'm everywhere because it's my job to be everywhere. I advertise clothes, hair products and baby clothes, and I present a radio show. I don't think it's any more than anybody else, but if it is, I'm doing the hours now because I might not be able to do them later. You don't know what's going to happen.

"Why is it suddenly a crime to want to work and achieve things? People think that I work too hard and have millions in the bank, but that's not true."

Klass also revealed that she has rejected a number of work offers for the sake of her 18-month-old daughter Ava.

"I do turn work down. There have been shows I just couldn't do because Ava comes first," she explained. "There were talks going on with GMTV, but I just couldn't contemplate that, or The One Show or Countdown."

The star recently started presenting Channel 4 style show 10 Years Younger, replacing the programme's former host Nicky Hambleton-Jones.
