The X Factor judge and Girls Aloud singer was due to meet Simon Cowell, who is reportedly hoping to help launch her career in the US.
According to the Daily Mail, Cowell has hired lawyers to ensure that Cole is able to get a visa following her 2003 assault conviction for punching a toilet attendant in a nightclub.
Cole was spotted at a Knightsbridge restaurant last month, where she was reportedly meeting with music executives. A fellow diner said Cole was told that she is in big demand in the US.
