Prince Harry calls off Hilton date

Paris Hilton was reportedly left high and dry when Prince Harry cancelled a date at the eleventh hour.

The pair, who have remained in touch since meeting last year, were due to meet last week, reports the Mail On Sunday.

Prince Harry, who recently became single following a five-year relationship with Chelsy Davy, apparently asked a bodyguard to phone the US socialite hours before their planned rendez-vous to call it off.

"Paris had spoken directly with Harry to arrange their meeting," a source said.

"She was pretty annoyed that Harry blew her out but they may well meet on her next trip to London. She has been in touch with Harry since they met in London last year and has even had an invite back to Clarence House."

Hilton is in the UK to promote her new reality TV series Paris Hilton's British Best Friend.
