Jade Goody: 'Operation was a success'

Jade Goody has said that her recent emergency operation to help fight her cancer was a success.

The Big Brother star said that she had tubes going in to her nose and neck to provide pain relief during the bowel surgery.

Goody wrote in her new! diary: "The operation lasted nearly two hours and thankfully it was a success.

"I'm just relieved that I won't need a colostomy bag. It's one thing losing my hair, but I think a poo bag would have been too much."

At the weekend, Goody's publicist Max Clifford confirmed that the reality TV star would continue to give press and television interviews despite the spread of her cancer.
