Simpson to launch 'flattering' clothes line

Jessica Simpson has reportedly designed a range of dresses to suit people of all sizes.

The singer and actress became the focus of magazine headlines after she gained weight, prompting her sister Ashlee to brand the press criticism "embarrassing and belittling".

The Dukes of Hazzard star has now added to her shoes line with clothes and accessories and has promised customers that her garments will "flatter every figure".

The 28-year-old told InStyle: "We want to reach every type of person - and we do. But mainly I'm all about you wearing the dress, not the dress wearing you.

"I know what flatters a woman, and trust me, I've been judged a lot in my life. By now I know what works if you're curvy. If my clothing and accessories make you feel great and let you walk proud and tall - in big, big platform shoes - then I'm happy."

Simpson recently hit back at the coverage of her weight gain, saying: "I feel like in our world today we focus on so many things that are completely pointless."
