Moore 'very happy' to be engaged

Mandy Moore has confessed that she is "very happy" to be engaged to rock star Ryan Adams.

The singer and actress made her first public appearance since announcing her engagement on The Bonnie Hunt Show on Thursday.

After being congratulated by Hunt, she said: "Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm very happy."

According to Us Weekly, her host then remarked that it was "nice to find someone who has his own thing going on and share your happiness with".

Moore agreed, replying: "Absolutely. That's what it is all about. You have to be complete, first and foremost, yourself."

Moore and Adams have dated off-and-on since last year.
