'Quadrophenia' to make stage debut

Cult rock opera Quadrophenia is to make its stage debut this year.

The work was written by Pete Townshend and originally appeared in 1973 as an album for The Who.

The musical tells the story of a hedonistic teenager who goes on a life-changing trip to Brighton.

The theatre version, which will feature a young cast, begins a tour of England and Scotland in Plymouth in May.
