Morgan tells Goody critics to "shut up"

Piers Morgan has rounded on critics who claim that Jade Goody has milked her cancer battle.

The former newspaper editor and Britain's Got Talent judge also blasted Jeremy Clarkson, Ian Hislop and Trinny Woodall.

According to ITN, he said that if the trio appeared on the ITV talent competition, he would replace the buzzers with a machine-gun "and just take them out and do the public a massive favour".

Of Goody's critics, he said that the 27-year-old simply has her children's best interests at heart.

Morgan, who is currently promoting his new ITV chat show Piers Morgan's Life Stories, said: "I think people who accuse Jade of milking the situation should just shut up.

"I don't think you milk a situation where you just have months to live and you need to provide for your children."

The former Big Brother contestant was told last week that her cancer is now terminal.
