Perry: 'I'm not dating Hilton's ex'

Katy Perry has dismissed speculation that she is dating Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden.

Earlier this week, American tabloids reported that the singer was romancing Madden after they were spotted spending Valentine's Day together at a nightclub in Las Vegas.

Writing on her website, Perry said: "Oh kittens! It's two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other...doesn't mean we were bumping uglies!

"You know I don't just do that with anyone!"

The 'I Kissed A Girl' star, who had performed a gig at the venue earlier in the evening, insisted that she had been celebrating Valentine's Day with a group of 25 friends.

"Benji is a nice young fellow but my heart really belongs to Kitty Purry," she wrote, in reference to her cat.

Perry split from Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy over the New Year, while Madden broke up with hotel heiress Paris Hilton in November.
