Marion 'Suge' Knight has reportedly admitted to assaulting his girlfriend in a Las Vegas car park.

The former boss of Death Row Records, who is known for launching the careers of Snoop Dog and Dr Dre, admitted the battery charge as part of a plea deal which saw drugs charges and a coercion charge dropped, according to the BBC.

The 43-year-old was arrested in August for allegedly punching Melissa Isaac and brandishing a knife. Isaac, who was not stabbed in the incident, was later treated in hospital for her injuries.

Knight has given a $340 (£235) fine and ordered to have counselling.

A judge ordered trustees to take over Death Row Records in 2006 after he filed for bankruptcy. The label was later sold for $24 million (£16.7 million).
