A report into how police investigated the death of a man at the home of Michael Barrymore is expected to be released next week.

No-one has ever been charged in the case of Stuart Lubbock, 31, who died in March 2001 after attending a party at the entertainer's house in Roydon, Essex.

A post mortem revealed that Lubbock, of Harlow, Essex, suffered internal injuries, suggesting sexual assault. Ecstasy, cocaine and alcohol were found in his bloodstream.

An inquiry into the police investigation was launched nearly two years ago following a series of complaints lodged by Lubbock's father Terry surrounding the Essex force's handling of the case.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said that the report is expected to be published on Tuesday, says PA.
