A woman alleged to have stalked David Caruso has reportedly been detained by Mexican officials.

The CSI: Miami star was sent more than 100 letters and pursued for an autograph by the woman, claim Austrian prosecutors. When the actor refused, it is alleged that the fan, who is in her 40s, sent Caruso three death threats.

The accused failed to attend court last year after being charged with stalking and threatening to kill Caruso, and is thought to have been on the run since. An Austrian judge issued an international arrest warrant for the woman following her failure to attend.

Police in Tijuana said that the woman was detained and has been turned over to immigration officials, reports AP.
