Stewart: 'I never dated Pattinson'

Kristen Stewart has dismissed speculation that she enjoyed an on-set fling with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.

Speaking to Nylon, the actress insisted that her relationship with Pattinson was entirely platonic and admitted that they had become "good friends" because of the overwhelming attention that the movie received.

"It’s just totally false...We went through a lot together, so we feel very close. But if we go out in public, every little detail is scrutinised, like the way I stand next to him," she said.

"And it’s like, I know the guy really f**king well. It’s only natural that we sort of lean on each other, because we’re put in the most f**king psychotic situations."

She continued: "You get a slew of all these bulls**t questions like, ‘What’s it like to kiss a vampire?’ and ‘How much do you love Robert?’ Then you’ll get one that’s actually real, but you’re like, ‘No, I can’t right now - I can’t even consider…’"

Earlier this month, Pattinson confessed that the "creative energy" that he had shared with Stewart had forged a "special bond" between them.
