Freddie Prinze Jr leaves WWE

Freddie Prinze Jr. has reportedly left his job with World Wrestling Entertainment's creative team.

The Scooby-Doo actor, who is married to Sarah Michelle Gellar, joined the company last year to provide assistance on the weekly shows and monthly pay-per-views.

Several US websites have suggested that the star had lost interest in his role and had not been seen at official events for many weeks.

The WWE has not yet commented on the speculation.

Signing Prinze Jr. last year, chairman Vince McMahon remarked that his "passion, energy and creativity make him an excellent fit for WWE".
