Pitt awarded 'chocolate Oscar' statue

Brad Pitt has been awarded a 'chocolate Oscar' as consolation for not winning the real thing on Sunday night.

The star was nominated in the best actor category for his role in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button but he lost out to Sean Penn for his performance in biopic Milk.

According to WENN, the actor has been sent a dark chocolate bust shaped in his likeness from deodorant brand Axe.

Pitt's gift was accompanied by a note that said: "We still feel your performance deserves a statue, one that's a bit sweeter."

The trophy, which reportedly weighs in at around 10lbs, was sent to promote the brand's new Dark Temptation Fragrance.
