Simpson: 'I'm lucky being in love'

Jessica Simpson has paid tribute to her partner, insisting that she is "lucky being in love".

During a performance in Salt Lake City, the singer told the audience that she is happy with her American footballer boyfriend Tony Romo.

According to Us Weekly, she said: "The thing that makes us lucky is being in love... I did find that unexpected kind of love."

Referencing the recent tabloid criticism of her weight, she admitted that she had sought comfort in prayers in a bid to boost her confidence.

Later, she was forced to apologise to the crowd after fluffing her lines during 'Come On Over'. "I always do that right there," she said. "Sorry!"
