Jackman: 'Oscars were a blast'

Hugh Jackman has revealed that he loved hosting the 81st Academy Awards.

The actor spoke about the experience while in Japan promoting his latest film Australia, reports ITN.

"It was great fun, I had a blast! Thank you very much," Jackman said.

His stint as presenter of the Kodak Theatre ceremony marked the first time in two decades that a comedian has not hosted the show. Ahead of the event, Jackman turned to comic Ricky Gervais for help with his jokes.

He later threatened to host the awards naked and drunk to demonstrate "the Australian way" of doing things.
