Halle Berry launches new perfume

Halle Berry has launched her new scent with an advertising campaign featuring the star posing on a beach.

'Halle' has taken two years to be produced and is supposedly a woody, oriental scent, with top notes of Sicilian bergamot, fig leaves and pear blossom together with freesia petals, hibiscus flowers and mimosa.

Last year, the Oscar-winning actress told WWD: "[Before my fragrance] I was mixing other brands that shall remain nameless to make my own scent with fig and mimosa.

"With 'Halle', I added olibanum, which is an African root, which brings spice to the fragrance, and sandalwood, which smoothes everything out and makes it yummy."

She added that the scent evokes the outdoors, and is "very sensual [and] very natural".

Last month, the Monster's Ball star topped a list ranking the most stylish Oscar look of all time for the gown she wore in 2003.
