WENN
Chef Aaron Billington admitted to causing the damage at Lowestoft Magistrates' Court, saying that he did so "in a moment of madness" after the singer made "offensive" remarks to him.
Billington's defence barrister Damien Moore said: "In the cold light of day - and with the benefit of hindsight - he accepts that he acted totally inappropriately.
"No matter what comments were made that night which he found offensive, he knows that he should not have acted in the way that he did."
After the incident, Jay Kay said: "It's disappointing, that's all I'll say. It says something about the British psyche."
An estimated £30,000 worth of damage was done to the car during the attack.
Billington was released on bail and the case will be committed to Ipswich Crown Court for sentencing at a later date.
