Speaking from Tanzania on Radio 1's Breakfast Show this morning, the Girls Aloud singer admitted that she had been suffering form bad altitude sickness.
Cole said that she had taken an injection in her bottom to make her feel better, and claimed that the large amount of money being raised by the charity walk was inspiring her to keep going.
Yesterday, the X Factor judge confessed that she felt "shook up" after witnessing a man collapsing on the mountain.
"You feel really strange at this altitude anyway, emotional and strange - then to see that really got to us," she said.
Her bandmate Kimberley Walsh, who is also doing the trek, commented: "This is hard, the walking is tough, but the altitude makes you feel so different. It was great to climb so high today but to see that man looking so panicked was horrible. I'm so glad we are all here to support one another, it would be impossible otherwise."
