Jennifer Hudson 'gets fiancé new ring'

Jennifer Hudson has "proposed" to her fiancé by buying him a five-carat engagement ring.

Boyfriend David Otunga popped the question to the singer on her 27th birthday last year and she returned the gesture by buying him an engagement ring to mark his own birthday, People reports.

Jeweller Neil Lane said: "Jennifer wanted to give him something really special when she asked David to marry her.

"It was very sentimental and romantic. They are really in love."

Last month, Hudson revealed details of her "classy" wedding plans and denied reports that she was pregnant.
