Paltrow: 'Marriage to Chris is hard'

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that her marriage to Chris Martin is not as perfect as it appears from the outside.

The Two Lovers star gave Life & Style the example that she had to accept that Martin was in Australia while she attended the Bent on Learning gala in New York.

Paltrow said: "It's hard! Nothing is as good as it looks. Life is complicated, and there are always issues to overcome.

"We're brutally honest with each other. Even if, God forbid, we weren't together in ten years or whatever, I think we're like a family."

She added that Martin is "going to kill me" for talking about their marriage to the press.

Last year, the couple denied media claims that they were planning to split.
