Jade Goody 'too ill for christening'

Jade Goody is too ill to go ahead with tomorrow's planned christening, it has emerged.

Publicist Max Clifford told The Sun that the reality TV star can only say a few words to visitors before falling asleep.

He said: "It's a result of the medication she's on. So, of course, in those circumstances the christening can't go ahead.

"Jade really wants to be well enough to go home and be christened. If she starts to feel better the christening can be organised at very short notice. We're hoping for the best."

Clifford added that although a church near Goody's home in Essex had been booked for the ceremony with her sons, there is a chance that it could take place in the chapel of the Royal Marsden Hospital.

A friend said: "The christening was not just a cynical attempt to make some money for her boys.

"Jade genuinely wants to be baptised before she dies. She is still hopeful this can be done. But time is running out for her."

Goody has expressed fears that she only has days left to live.
