Doherty: 'Posh is my style icon'

Pete Doherty has revealed that he admires and is inspired by Victoria Beckham's taste in fashion.

The Babyshambles frontman said that he is particularly taken by the former Spice Girl's headwear.

He told the Daily Star: "I think Victoria looks very sharp. She's a very stylish lady and I really like her military hats. I mean that."

A source added that the rocker is "besotted" with Posh's clothing, saying: "When he sees such images he remembers similar styles he wore in The Libertines. He hopes Posh's style injects respectability into his image so his solo career is taken seriously."

'Last Of The English Roses', the lead single from Doherty's debut solo album Gracelands/Wastelands, was released today.
