Winehouse dad 'sends friend home'

A friend of Amy Winehouse has been sent away from the Caribbean to help the star rehearse for an upcoming live show, it has been claimed.

Winehouse's father Mitch has told Violetta Thalia that she must leave St Lucia to stop the singer wasting her time with all-day drinking sessions, The Sun reports.

A source said: "Amy performs for the first time in ages at the St Lucia Jazz Festival this week. Mitch knows she has to get it right.

"He doesn't want Amy to be lonely but he doesn't see why she should pay for mates to have a good time."

According to her representative, Winehouse is "raring to go" for the live performance.
