The TV chef took the decision to temporarily close the eatery after about 40 dinners reported feeling unwell.
The Health Protection Agency said that the number of people who reported feeling ill had since risen to about 400.
Despite awaiting the outcome of some tests, Blumenthal has now been told that he can reopen. He said: "I'm delighted the Health Protection Agency and the local environmental health office have given us the all-clear to open the restaurant.
"Whilst they are still awaiting outstanding test results we cannot comment further, but obviously we are overjoyed to be able to get back to business as normal."
An investigation was carried out over the last fortnight but so far a singular source of the bug not been identified. Blumenthal and his team have already ruled out sabotage and food poisoning.
